The leaves are not upset that they are leaving the branches. It’s back to school time and what better way to laugh, stretch, and release stress than yoga?
Children’s yoga is a peaceful, fun, non-competitive way for children to stretch, grow and laugh.
They should dress comfortably and bring water to drink. Mats, music and hugs are provided.
This is great for children of all shapes and sizes and all levels of ability. Yoga is a great way to channel extra energy and calm anxiety.
Sapling Yoga classes are available to children of all ages, as well as seniors, beginner adults and everyone in between. Classes can be modified for people who would like to remain in a chair during class as well.
Here’s the fall schedule (so far):
Tuesday evenings for eight weeks at Pachamama’s Centre for the Healing Arts at 409B Dundas Street West (Formerly By the Moon).
Saplings ages 4-6 5:30-6:10 p.m.
Saplings ages 7-10 6:15-7:00 p.m.
Classes will go from Tuesday, September 10 to Tuesday, October 27. The cost per child for 8 weeks is $75.
Thursday Evening Partner yoga for children and adults from 6:00-6:45 at Quinte Ballet School (196 Palmer Road).
This class fills up very quickly and is absolutely heart warming! Bring your child, grandchild, nephew, sibling…you get the picture.
Class will run every Thursday evening for 8 weeks from September 19 to November 14 (we’ll skip Hallowe’en) and the cost is $75 per child who attends – adults attend free.
Register and make payment arrangements by August 28 to reserve your space.
